The Topology of NTP

Step by Step Configuration

1. Install the NTP Server 1 with the DVD Repository 1

2. Look the package NTP installed

3. Install the ntpdate at the server 2 and look the package ntpdate installed

4. Add the command at the file /etc/ntp.conf at the server 1 ntp
    "restrict <ip network server 1> <netmask server 1> nomodify notrap"  without the symbols quote

5. Restart the configuration NTP

6. Write the configuration IP address server 1 at the file /etc/network/interfaces

7. restart the interface

8. search the NTP pool for Indonesia

9. then write the NTP pool Indonesia in the file /etc/ntp.conf

10. then restart the ntp

11. check the NTP with the command "ntpq -p" without the symbols quote

12. configuration IP address server 2

13. restart network interface server 2

14. then write the following command "ntpq -p" on server 2

15. The time has Same of server 1 and 2 , write the command for look the time on this server.
